At just 20 years old, Silviano Venchi began crafting chocolate experiments in a small Turin workshop

Born in 1922, the iconic Nougatine is a Venchi legend: crunchy caramelized hazelnuts in a 60% dark chocolate shell. A timeless recipe, unchanged for over a century.

The small workshop became a company, with 300 outlets and 5,000 employees. Venchi became the best-known brand of fine chocolate in Italy.

Three entrepreneurs decided to take over and relaunch the brand after a rough period. Shortly afterwards, a new Venchi factory was established in Cuneo (Italy).

Venchi stores began to offer fresh Italian gelato, crafted daily, alongside their chocolates, bringing the “Chocogelateria” to life: chocolate in every form.

In 2004, Venchi launched Chocoviar, also known as “chocolate caviar”. These crunchy chocolate pearls inspired the birth of our iconic best-sellers in 2007.

Over the years, Venchi has opened its doors in many different countries. The most important openings were in London (2012), Hong Kong (2012), Broadway (2018), Xintiandi Shanghai (2019), Tokyo Ginza (2019), Paris (2022), Sydney (2023), Dubai Mall (2024), Kuala Lumpur (2025).

A company with more than 145 years of history, we share the Italian way of life and authentic flavors in every corner of the globe with more than 350 chocolate recipes and 90 gelato flavors. We have over 200 directly operated stores in more than 70 countries.
