ISO 14001 is an international standard with voluntary adherence specifying the requirements of an organization’s environmental management system.
The framework encompasses various aspects, from resource usage and waste management to monitoring environmental performance, involving stakeholders in environmental commitments.
By adhering to this standard, we as Venchi are taking proactive measures to minimize our environmental footprint, comply with relevant legal requirements, and achieve our environmental objectives.
ISO 45001
ISO 45001 is an international standard that specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety management system.
The standard enables organizations to systematically assess hazards and implement risk control measures, leading to reduced workplace injuries, illnesses and incidents.
We as Venchi are proud of this achievement, showing not only our commitment to a proactive risk management approach, but above all, worker health, safety and wellbeing.
BRCGS and IFS certifications
In confirmation of our daily commitment to the quality and food safety of our products, we have earned two of the most important internationally recognised certifications: BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety and IFS (International Food Standard).
These are two food safety standards recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), an international initiative whose main objective is to strengthen and promote food safety throughout the supply chain. Both standards identify specific elements of a management system focused on product quality and hygiene safety, which consider the HACCP methodology as a reference for planning and implementation.
KOSHER CERTIFICATE
At Venchi, our commitment to quality, transparency, and respect for diverse dietary traditions is at the heart of everything we do. A range of our products is Kosher certified, meeting the needs of consumers who follow Kosher dietary guidelines. This certification is granted by Star-D Kosher Certification, a globally recognized authority, and ensures that approved products are manufactured in full compliance with Kosher standards, through dedicated processes and rigorous controls. Kosher certification applies to designated products made in our manufacturing facility in ccordance with the requirements set by the certifying body.
CALLS FOR EUROPEAN FUNDS - INNOVATION AND COMPETITIVENESS
The development and implementation of an innovative cloud-based framework to digitise finance, control and the supply chain, improving the omnichannel relationship with Venchi's D2C customers. This will include a data-analysis system to predict sales using Big Data.
CALLS FOR EUROPEAN FUNDS - ENERGY SAVING AND DIVERSIFICATION
In 2021, the amount of electricity used by our production facility fell by 50% compared to 2019 despite a 15% increase in the amount of chocolate we produced. This was possible thanks to the co-financing of the ROP Piemonte ERDF 2014-2020, which allowed us to make significant investments that have made us more efficient.
